Peter Schiff, a well known free-market economist, criticizes those in the media for reporting the partial government shutdown as solely a Republican-caused problem. The Democrats, he claims, are just as much to blame for the shutdown as the Republicans. Unlike the Republicans, however, Democrats, are not being called “terrorists” or “suicide bombers” by the mainstream media.

The House passed three budgets, one of which includes the budget for all of Obamacare except the individual mandate. Harry Reid, a Democratic Senator, urged the Democratically controlled Senate to refuse to pass the budget.

Shiff primarily argues that the Republicans being compared to “terrorists” and “suicide bombers” is an overstatement even for the political theater.
