Stephen Harper’s T.P.P. and Censorship

Posted by Chris Stockdale on September 29, 2013 in Politics, UK, US, World | 43 Views

Documents have come to the public view shedding new light on Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper’s confidential plan to meet with world leaders in an effort to once again attempt to censor the internet. T.P.P. or the Trans Pacific Partnership is a trade agreement that, if passed, means the Internet will be monitored by the governments of at least twelve nations. Due to many states not having specific legislation on the protocol for signing and enacting international agreements, an unknown and potentially horrifying number of persons could have this treaty implemented without their knowledge or consent. In a matter of moments, the world could lose one of its last strongholds for free speech and political activism.

What are the people of the world supposed to do when one of mankind’s greatest inventions has been subjugated and conquered by the iron fist of the world’s governments? Various online sources have announced that it is the intention of all parties involved to meet in the not so distant future. The nations named thus far include the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Brunei, Chile, Singapore, Australia, Peru, Vietnam, Malaysia, Mexico and Japan. Our freedom of press would virtually disappear. Information that would usually take only moments to access could be withheld for government scrutiny for days, weeks and even months. Information deemed “too inflammatory” or “confidential” could be instantly removed and those responsible for the “leak” could be found and prosecuted before they could even pack a suitcase.

Many argue that a modern society needs a modern security system. Yet most of us recall the way life was before things like the PATRIOT Act and the NDAA 2012. America and her closest allies still enjoyed many of their liberties. Most individuals could fly without worry, browse the web without fear of spying, and fill their car without a suitcase full of money. How does this tie in with Harper’s TPP? All conspiracy aside, they all come from the same goal. What is this goal? National Socialism. Maybe we won’t see the return of the Nazi’s, but we will see the return of many of their instruments, programs and systems. Already the U.S. has successfully created a national police force, a Gestapo of sorts, stronger than many of the regular military units.

This internal web of spies and soldiers, comprised of agencies such as the Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency, work with paramilitary forces belonging to not only the aforementioned groups, but organizations like the Drug Enforcement Administration, Internal Revenue Service, Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security as well as more local SWAT teams and Police Forces to achieve a de facto army that can be deployed in a matter of hours nationwide. The censorship of the Internet only works to further these evil imperialistic plans by providing an unlimited surveillance of the populace, rendering any sort of resistance to this sweeping tyranny useless. And alliance between MULTIPLE nations working for the same evil end only furthers the point that many prominent American conservatives and libertarians have been making; “I’m all for going after terrorists, I’m all for going after criminals, but I think you go to a judge and you ask for a warrant specified to a person. You shouldn’t look at millions and millions.” said Senator Rand Paul. Our natural gifts are on the brink of absolute destruction, this agreement is the straw that will not only break the camel’s back, it will imprison, torture and enslave the poor beast. Unfortunately, that beast is us.

A petition has started to send world leaders a message that we the people will not allow them to trade away our freedoms. As free men and women we must all stand up! Protest in the street, not just in the comfort of your home. Words may only go so far, the people of the world should SHOW our governments that we will NOT support their plans for tyranny. I would ask that everyone go to the link at the bottom of the article and write to your elected officials. Now, go get some friends and hit the streets! Liberty won’t defend itself!
